Chapter Four

I stared back at him, my throat suddenly dry. “What... um... what sort of photo did you have in mind?”

He grinned at me. “'The human nude'” he said, “'is a one of the great subjects of art throughout history.' That's what you said, isn't it?”

“You really expect me to just... take my clothes off?”

“I do,” he said, and his voice was deadly serious.

I stared speechless into his dark eyes. I couldn't ignore the fact that my body was tingling with desire. It didn't mean anything! I was not going to just let him come wandering back into my life and... do that to me.

“After all,” he said, fingering the material of the robe he was wearing, “I did it for you.”

I hugged myself close and shivered.

I could still remember the first time I undressed for him. Well, to be honest, he had undressed me. We'd been in his car, and I could still taste the strawberry ice cream on my lips. It was a gorgeous sunny summer evening. We'd been driving, just driving nowhere for the sake of it, an ice cream cone in my hand and the wind in my hair while we whipped along some forgotten country road.

I could still remember what I was wearing. White tennis shoes and little pink socks, a tiny pink skirt that barely came halfway down my thighs, a lacy top and black bra, and a pair of little white panties with pink hearts. He kept glancing over at me and smirking, eyeing me with a wolfish hunger. I just laughed and told him to keep his eyes on the road.

I remember feeling so sexy and mature, so grown up. Out driving with my older boyfriend. It felt like I was off to see the world, experiencing real life for the first time.

He pulled over on a high bluff over a wide field of swaying grain that caught the red light of the sunset and lit up like an ocean of fire. We looked out across the world, not a car or building in sight either way along the long road. It was as if we were alone in the universe. He put the car in park, then he put his arm around my shoulder.

We had kissed before, and I'd let him touch my breasts, even put one hand underneath my shirt and feel them. I remember the way my breath caught in my throat when his hand caressed my nipple. The first time another person had ever touched them.

“I want to see you,” he had said, turning in the driver's seat to look at me.

I laughed. “You're seeing me right now. What are you talking about?”

And then our eyes met, those powerful dark eyes, and I was entranced. It was like I'd been hypnotized. “I want to see all of you,” he said, and I understood. I blushed and turned away, but he reached out and touched my chin, turning my face back to his. “I want to see you,” he said again.
